C Butch Henline – currently have him and Harbridge splitting time at catcher which is a bit of a waste so looking to move Henline – not looking for a big return and will listen to offers. Could trade Harbridge instead but he would be a lot more expensive.

CF Doc Smoot – FA at the end of the season but not asking much to re-sign – solid glove and bat in center.

I have a logjam of starting pitchers, relievers and outfielders so the following prospects are available for 2043 and 2044 draft picks.

SP George ‘Farmer’ Bell – former top 10 pick – had a few injuries but ranked 46th prospect in the league and still only 22. Currently has a 2.30 ERA in AAA and is ready for the majors. Looking for a 1st+

SP Johnny ‘Bear Tracks’ Schmitz – 89th ranked prospect who has developed and progressed nicely since being drafted in the 2nd round. Has a 3.20 ERA in AAA so far this year and is deemed MLB ready by both my scout and the OSA. Looking for a 1st

SP Wilber Cooper – another solid SP prospect who has performed well in AAA and is MLB ready but is stuck in the logjam.

SP Bill Lohrman – ditto – solid ratings but crowed out of my AAA rotation

MR Elmer Burkhart – has pitched very well in AAA and ready to do a job in a MLB bullpen.

MR Marc Hall – again has pitched well in AAA and still only 24 – won’t cost much

MR Charlie Morton – has developed slowly but still has sky high potential – could probably do with a change of scenery.

RF Joe Gallagher – 22 year old power hitting outfielder with .335/.402/.577 line and 15 HR in 62 AAA games so far this season – with Big Sam and Treadway entrenched in the corners in the majors he is blocked here – was a 2nd round pick back in 2039 and will take a similar pick now.

2009, 2011 and 2024 World Champions
(just in case you were keeping score that is now more than twice as many as John and Shane combined :) )
